damn that sucks..however you are pretty much screwed unless you take them to court. First off take all emails shipping everything you have and send a copy to the BBB. they will try to settle the calim (if its a us company). If not you have to file with an attorney in Canada (most likley small claims ) (costing you more money than you lost) after you do all that and get you settlement and pay lawyer you have nothing to show for it..then you file it with you taxes as a loss for that year and get some of you cash back that way.

i had relatively new housings which suffered from minor apex seal chatter due to them being 3mm, due to their relaive new-ness and lack of warping getting both of them recoated in a cermet coating for $660+ (total, 315 per housing plus shipping) was much more cost effective then spending $1100 on brand new ones.

Wow, you are getting hosed for housings... PM me next time in you are in the market for housings... I think I would have chosen the slight chatter marks over even the resurfacing to be honest.. Like 3mm seals, there are alot of things done to a rotary which are a)not proven b)simply dont work c) are actually a downgrade from stock and dont serve any real purpose..
But I think I know who you are talking about anyway, sucks to get ripped off... Dont be afraid of Canadians in the future though, we arent all cut from the same cloth...
