See I would find it easier to sync my ipod once a month then burn new mp3 discs everytime I want different tunes or something added to the mix. It seems to me that you are merely making your life more difficult by choice, I mean cassette tapes played perfectly good music and hold just as many songs as a regular cd and yet you managed to jump into 1991 and get a cd player in your car at some point

I was not all that excited about downloading all of my music and not having the cd's in hand at first as well, actually until very recently, but i haven't bought a cd in months, I get new music the minute it comes out and i dont have to run by the store and wait in line..... talk about a time saver. oh and I also save 4 or 5 bucks just on the price of the album.

my deck on the boat, one cable hooks to the ipod and i control it through the deck, not sure how that could be more difficult than cd's, plus like i say I like having my playlists.

how does the IPOD keep charged? Another adaptor or does it all go through that one wire?

How do you keep the ipod secure?

in a car I dont want all those things hanging around unsecured and have to put it all away when I park. They have stories all the time on local news about how thieves are breaking into cars when they see a suction cup for a GPS, or if they see a ipod wire hanging around they smash the window to look for a ipod.

It drives me crazy when I drive a car and something is rattling around or shifting when I make turns, accelerate and brake.

it just seems the older I get the less these things impress me and the least amount of effort they take the better, put the factory sat radio on and whatever is on I listen to.

I have so much better things to spend money on then music, I see all my old cds and all my old mp3 files and I think what a huge waste of money all that was.

ONE PLUG that plug charges it and it plays it through the radio and it controls the ipod, the screen on the ipod is totally blank, i never look at it, it's all on the head unit. I just throw the ipod in a little cubby below my head unit. but i never take it out, i have one in the truck one in the car and one on the boat. In amy's car i just ran the cable out of the back of the deck and into her armrest cubby thingy.

I install marine ones all the time, on the boats we dont even put cd players in anymore.

I am liking the sat radio thing, I dont like paying for it but I got the first year free then just payed another year in advance so its like I dont remember paying for it.

I cant even imagine buying music anymore, any music I have bought over the last few years have been compliations of stuff I had bought before anyhow, but even then I have not purchased music in like 2 years.

I am canceling my sat subscriptions I just prefer the ipods, I can set up my own playlists the way i like them, listen to pod casts and I dont have to pay a monthly fee.
