Well, as some of you know or don't know, a buddy of mine and myself are going to be starting an import shop here in Va sometime within the next few months, we're still working out the details of the $$$$, lol... ANYWAYS, one of our shop cars is a '91 MR2 w/ the 5SFE in it. We just started this project about 4 months ago on my buddy's mr2 that he's had for a while. Well yesterday was its first track debut...now granted we are JUST starting with the car, and yesterday was only for tuning reasons, but we are very happy.



The car has the following mods:

1320eng. Intake

1320eng. Cam sprocket

Gutted interior w/ two seats and the dash(to keep up w/ NHRA street rules)

Gutted cat

and of course NX express nitrous system..I'm really starting to like these systems.



With bald tires and a weakening clutch the car pulled off a 9.4 @ 73 MPH in the 1/8th(thats the closest track). It was actually a lot better then the 10.0 I thought it was gonna run, lol...the motor is really weak and we're just workin out some parts....it was the 2nd fastest import at the race only to lose to a '02 style STI AWD WRX imprezza, lol...we went home satisfied. By June 30th we're hoping to get a 8.8 out of it...he had bad RTs too! Oh yea, the car's original time was 11.1...so we dropped the car almost 2 seconds for under $750!!

that's good! my TII hit 8.8 in the 1/8th and 13.7 in the 1/4 ! congrats!!!
