I got to go on my first motorcycle ride today. I've been waiting for this for over 11 years. It was great, me and my dad rode for about 2 hours, got to go through twisties, and I almost died three times. Riding my own bike is so much funner than riding on the back of my dad's.

None of those bikes would be the best choice for a beginner.
EX250/500
I started out on a 1980 KZ550.

i hear this all of too much, if i watned motorcycle advice i would go to some people with more exp. (which i have) When i went to the yamaha dealership i got to talking to a few riders and some people that work there and they see many people walk out with an r6 and bring it back unscratched for maintnec. after taking the msf course that is. its the stupids that go and buy them without any knoledge f bikes that give that stereotype. you gotta respect the bike and keep a look out for the cages. lets not turn this into the gixxer forums now.

i know man, ive known a few people to go down on a bike, a lot of them seemed to be because of a car or in other words the biker was not aware enough. im just tired of people trying to tell me what to get.

I though i'd post those pics to let some people know the reality of the situation..once my finances settle down a bit, i plan on getting a crotch rocket for myself.
You can never have enough people telling you to be careful
