Its time to ask my alcoholic friends for financial advice.

Well. I’m 19, live in CA. Going to school full time and working full time, living in a new town in a apartment with my girlfriend. I do not have a credit card because I don’t wish to Co-sign with my parents. And no one will give me one because I simply have never HAD any credit. Ok so here is the deal. I need a commuter car. I cant drive my FD to work everyday its bull ****. Also I blew my engine up last night in FD …so I’m out of a car and out of my baby…So what should I do! Right now I’m thinking of taking our a $6,000 loan. Buying a beater for 1,000. Buying a new engine and at the same time build up the engine I bit. Time to get a FMIC maybe. Porting etc. So how should I go about getting a loan from my bank?, I have Washington mutual. How should I go about buying a new Engine? I can easily install it myself so labor is not an issue. What would you guys do. I love the car more then anything. So I cant sell it.

Thanks guys

-Tyler

sell the fd, buy a beater.

don't take out loans while in school if you can avoid it...

or

keep fd.. let it sit, save 200 and buy an 87 civic hatch like sars. then save to get the fd fixed.

Good luck getting a personal loan with no credit or collateral. You can't just 'get a loan for $6k' for a car that's worth $1k. The bank would have no asset to cover the liability. If you had credit or equity or something you could get a personal loan, or a equity line of credit or something and it'd be no problem..

Buy a beater, save the money, fix the FD, or buy tons and tons of booze, drugs and hookers and party like a rock star.

I would go with one of those two options, neither involve a loan.

Walk to school, let the FD sit for a few months, fly dramon out to CA and have your way with him.

Are you sure your motor is blown?
