If you think about it ..once the stop a car line and then bring it back ..it will never be the same..Look at the RX8 if it does so well I dont thinbk they will bring back the 7 they will just help develop a better 8..

Look at all the other RXs the have came and gone..

The 7 made Mazda rotary line what it is today..and they should never took it out...

Not to mention..these days the cars are looking more and more like each other...I hate to say this but the RX8 has S2000 tail lights..They should of used the FD body line with maybe just a more of a perfoamnce look..changine the nose..and adding a nice tail...

and the article also says, that if the rx8 will do well , then they will release the new 7, i dont see the point of the 8 if they wanna bring back the 7, just keep the 7 going,,,lol im confused now

actually if you looked at the new 2001 or 2002 RX7, it looks just like the RX8, as far as the front fascia is concerned. Different headlights and hood lines. As well as the new miata and MP5.

im not arguing that all cars are starting to look like each other,,,its just always been like that, noone really payed attention, lol 80's everything was square,,,blah blah, and so on,,, but i would probably much rather, get an FD and drop a renesis in it,,,if the swap doesnt cost two of my arms, lol

Actually I kind of see Mazda as phasing in the rotary engine not phasing it out. By the time the rx-8 gets here the new rx-7's will probably be a year or two out. In a way Mazda is building up their rotary line with the edition of the Rx-8 and revamping the rx-7. I mean the renesis sounds like a great engine and its edition to the rx-7 is inevitable.

i can picture mazda being back to where they were in the 70's. where you could buy the car with a rotary or a piston engine, that would be cool.
