P.S. I need to quit skimming i see you have a Blazer also..so skip that part, but it really was mostly the wind that did me in, maybe lowering it will help.....

driving in 4wd will help.
I drive in the absolute worse conditions when it snows, for hours and hours on end, I have a higher truck riding on 31x10.50 BFGs, my truck is about as
aerodynamic as a brick, you wont have a problem as long as you are in
4 wheel drive. If there is a dusting of snow my truck sucks in 2WD.
Im thinking your truck has skinnier tires which are preffered in the snow.
Lowering it will not do anything for you except increase your chances of
getting the chassis hung up in deeper snow.
It dont matter if you have 6 wheel drive, once you get the chassis hung up
on snow you aint getting out on your own power, its almost like trying to drive off
a chassis lift. Like what happened to Revvin

I'm feelin your pain... Id rove the SE all last winter...through blizzards and feet of snow with no probs. This year I bought an audi with AWD for a DD and I ditched it twice this last weekend in our first snowstorm. I'm chalking it up to the AWD omnipotence issues I'm dealing with and the fact that the car understeers like the tubby bitch it is. To the quattro's credit though....I drove right out of both of those ditches whereas the 7 woulda been there til spring!

Although I did put it into 4WD in the parking lot to insure I wouldn't skid into the adjacent car in my spot. And make it up my driveway... Today I was trying to beat an oncoming car to my completely ice-covered driveway, so I didn't bother with 4L. Put my car almost completely sideways on my driveway, and loved it. Maybe my mind will change when we get more than a few inches, but for now, I'm having too much fun with FWD.
