How is running at idle for an extended period of time after driving hard gonna heat up the engine? So, using your logic, starting a turbo car and idling it for a few mins before putting in gear is actually gonna cool down the engine?

Sorry, I know that was kinda flamebastic for my first post, but I'm grouchy 2day. Give me a ******* brake.

Also, on the wing, most cheap production cars today have a good deal of lift, so spoilers\wings are useful if combined with a similarly force creating front spoiler. The problem is that no one I know other than Mugen and HKS make bodykits or pieces for aerodynamic purposes.

Cool board yall got BTW.

GOD i hope that was directed at me!! i want to blast you SO bad right now, but i will play nice.

hmmm...lets use your logic for a minute. siting and letting the car sit at idle before starting to drive would WARM it up... right? that is what you were trying to say in the mids of *trying* to insult me...right? OK. i agree with you. SITTING AT IDLE GETS THE CAR'S OPERATING TEMPERATURE TO RISE.

now... lets see. if after driving the car we stop and let it sit there at idle (like we already agreed will RAISE the operating temp) are you claiming this will cool it down? if so, you are a dumbass. turning the motor OFF would cool it down.

if you believe in your theory so much i want you to go out and do a little test for me. i want you to disconnect your rad fans and go drive your car hard. get it up to about 200*F and then stop. let the car idle...or cool down as you put it in this reply. me personaly, i would turn it off to cool it down, but since your theory is so right that you had to comment on how you *thought* mine was wrong, then your car should quickly start to cool itself off because now you are letting it sit at idle.

hell, do the test with your rad fans hooked up. i will bet your car will not get below a certain temp. thus all you did was waste fuel.

basicly, prove me wrong.

No, no, no. You got it all twisted, sorry I wasn't clear enough. Okay, what I was disputing was the idea that idling after hard driving would INCREASE engine heat. I wasn't saying that turning off the engine wouldn't cool it or any such dumb ****. Of course it would. As far as the timer, I thought the point was that in the gradual slowdown and cooling process the oil was circulated throughout the engine in a slow orderly process so that when the engine was shut off the oil all collects in the proper place without clogging or coking. That's correct, no? The only reason it's called a "turbo" timer is that coking is so devastating to turbos. IRL, coking is bad for all engines, right? So a "turbo" timer makes sense for all engines that are driven hard. Was that clearer?

I dont see any supercharger in the engine pic and its a GT converted by Saleen with stock engine so it should be a 4.6, right?

oh we're ********? maybe if you clicked the ******* pic you could get your head out of your *** and see it's a GT converted by saleen, all they added was like a rollbar and some bodykit, and some saleen stickers. NO engine work was done at all to the stock GT engine block. Now unless you can tell me the stock GT comes supercharged i believe YOU are the ******* *******, and she leave ******* 18 year olds out of this discussion.

Age is no reflection of the ignorance of a person. As can clearly be seen in YOUR situation.

Good day SIR.
