An Event 5 Years In The Making...
#1
<--That's me, right now. And I thought I'd wait until the car is actually sitting in my driveway (with pics to post!) but I have to let it out!
As of last Saturday, I am on my way to owning a 56k original mile 1994 Montego Blue *wingless* FD!
Since about my senior year of high school, owning my second car, I knew I was into driving. And especially Sports cars. Before I moved away to SC (didn't stay there long, however!) I told everyone how I'd be saving up for a mighty Toyota Supra.
Lo and behold, the Supra I spent 3 months working on aquiring fell through, and I quickly bought an Mr2 Turbo in frustration.
The Mr2 ultimately brought me to the Rx7, given my newfound love of lightweight handling and "quick" over "fast". So I sold the Mr2-T and bought a MKI Mr2 to hold me over as I saved, which was even more of a blast (despite the lack of turbo) on the local country roads!
I had a friend introduce me to AutoX and Road Race courses, of which I attend as often as I can. (I live in front of a small county airport, and that's where the SCCA local car club AutoX takes place...a whole 2-3 minute drive from my place!)
So, I researched the "heresays" and reputation of the Rx7 and went from there.
And no better of a car could I find. A wondefully "near stock" Rx7, in both appearance and modifications...it's just perfect. Even comes with 2nd set of stock rims with Khumo Victoracers
Oh and Sinful7- It comes with mudguards! Woot! All four!
Hahaha, I can't wait...
*I'll post pics and more info when it arrives!*
