BUT ITS NOT.
Yeah so ive always been slightly dissapointed in my RX7's performance. It led to some modification and it improved slightly...but from what i heard from other people I wasnt getting the pull that I should be from the low mileage 12a.
Lately I have doing alot of fooling around with it since its been parked, before it was always driven...or it was winter so i never got a chance. My buddy and I decide to clean out the jets in the carb...we noticed they werent spraying properly. We got some spray carb cleaner from CT (canadian tire [a better pep boyz]) started up the car and proceeded to clean the bitch out. After a few throttle blips and carefully aimed carb cleaner to the jets, they sprayed very nice. After the car was warm, we aimed at cleaning the secondary jets. Namely because...they werent delivering any fuel. At all. The throttle plates werent even moving. The secondaries were literally glued shut because the car was granny driven being an auto its entire life...up until i bought it. We needed to literally muscle the linkage on the outside until it broke free enough to wiggle, hit the linkage with some more carb cleaner and wiggle it until we could actually flick the linkage and the plates would open!
YES! Goodbye gas mileage! I'm so happy, no more retarded bogging.
