The Velvet Teen is emo-esque. They're one of my favorite bands.

They're on tour now, check the site for locations. The shows are usually cheap, and they put on a hell of a live set.

Hey guys lets not complicate things to much. If it sounds good and you like it cool . I doubt I would like all the bands that mat be considered EMO. Although I like Jets to Brazil and Promise Ring, and maybe even Jimmy eat World.
But I also like Descedents, Fugazi, Tool, Led Zepplin, Depeche mode, PJ. Harvey, Jeff Buckely,Tortoise, Stereo Lab, Pavement, Van Halen(david lee),The Beatles, and I can keep going all day long. Point is nobody likes only one certain kind of music.
I do know that I can't stand Hip Hop/ R&B and Country.
