When I drove the FD that I almost bought, I wasn't impressed. I didn't like how small it was on the inside. I am used to driving around a 91 MR2, and the FD felt smaller. I just don't like small cars (like Miata's). The TII just feels better, plus its faster.
I really like the cockpit, and go kart feel.

But if i had a fd, i'd just be able to afford bolt-ons

My fc is getting some pretty mean upgrades this spring..

Talking to fritz about his FD (the one I test drove), he doesn't do burnouts, he doesn't do donuts, and hard starts cause wheel hop, which can cause major damage. Repairing anything costs a bundle, apparently.

I like my FC because I can rev the **** out of it pretty much worry free. I can drive 50 mph on a dirt road, because my suspension is already shot. I can throw caution to the wind, and beat the hell out of it. And when it comes time for repairs, the part I need is always 30 minutes or $100 away (parts cars aplenty). But I guess everyone's situation is unique.

But if someone were to give me an FD, I wouldn't take a second to think it over...

Yea I can't give up me t2, but I think down the road I might want one for a DD. I agree amp, everyone usually always wants what they don't have.
wasnt it the same sort of circumstances that made you take apart your car

to turbo it? I was expecting this to be a topic like that one:

"if I had riden in one years ago I would never have bothered with my GXL", or something to that effect, lol.

When did you get a TII anyhow?

YEARS ago I was shopping for a FD, im talking 7 years ago mind you.

Back then I couldnt find a FD that wasnt in a accident, I couldnt find a

original one, and this was 7 years ago. I drove 2 of them, the first one had the whole back end of the car repainted and was a bit wavvy.

Some I looked at I didnt even bother to drive.

The second one I drove only had the drivers door repainted- the result of a bicycle

falling onto it in the garage, numerous pictures the owner took of it backed this claim up. While driving the car, I asked him why so many of them were wrecked, and his response was it was a hard car to drive, like if you drive it everyday and its raining its a easy car to wreck. He said it almost takes some work to drive it carefully and that it reacts so quickly to driver input that he could see why people wreck it so easily.

The car did drive nice, it did feel like it was in rails. Needless to say my quest ended when I couldnt find a original one that had no paintwork on it, except a extremely low mileage female owned automatic..... which I didnt even bother to drive.

yah thats true rob 99% of the fd's have been to the body shop. i wanted an original one too, but i gave up and got mine (repainted left fender, blend on the hood, new left door skin, and a bondo'ed left quarter panel), it looked good even though i saw the damage before i bought it.

my friend bought one 4-5 years ago. 6k on odometer, it was 5 shades of white, the leather was trashed, and the tranny had been rebuilt, turns out it had been sitting on the street its whole life or something

lol, it sat on the street, got hit, then it would sit in the body shop=the reason for the low mileage and the 5 shades of white?
