I have these 2 MPEG2 files for a show I recorded on TV. I need the first file have about 10 minutes or so stripped from the beginning. And the 2nd file is the remainder of the show that needs to be cut after the first 20 minutes and then merge the 2 files.

I have some real basic video editing software, but it can't do **** with the mpeg2.

Yeah if Moviemaker supports your file type I say use that. It is really easy to use IMO. I can walk you through it when you are ready(granted they support the file type).

On a side note what is a good editing program that I can buy MM is good but I feel limited so much of the time.
