I just take breaks. I have been on a vacation (kind of) for the last 2 months. I am not ready to dive back into it...

ps. Does anyone on this message board have a running rx7?

I actually have 2 that run. I have my 10th A.E that has been driving me nuts the past 8 months and a recently aquired 85 widebody GSL-SE.

I was getting burned out with the 10th cause everytime I did something I had to change something around. It's not completely finished but then again I haven't had the urge to work on it in a couple days. But I need to get my *** moving if I am going to be bringing both of them to Rotorfest.

FikseRxSeven, where in Pa did you move to?

I was not caring about my car for a while, just driving it and fixing whatever it needed, no upgrades. Then the weather started getting nice and I got psyched on making it nicer.

Then the engine blew and that kind of killed my excitement. I mean I have bought more for the car while then engines been out than any other time, and when it's back together it should be pretty cool, but I am reallly not looking foward to putting all that crap back into the engine bay.

I am all worn out. I just lost the love of tunning not just because i am broke but also a student that needs money for everything else. The car still runs but after i was hit by an illegal and got nothing out of it i just stopped wasting my money. I rather have a 3rd gen or something that is turbo'd rather than a N/A even know that is where my roots are from. If i get a better job i will see if i can get something better that is more friendly for me because OBD0 SUCKS.

I was so burnt out that I sold my car. After all the time and money I was left unsatisfied. I thought if I got something different then I would be happy. Maybe build a mild car this time...so I bought an old mustang fastback. Since I've been kicking myself for even buying another project. I haven't touched the mustang yet. It's just rusting more and more since I hauled it home. It's been 8 months since I sold my RX-7 and I'm still not over being burnt out...

I'm burnt, not to a crisp yet though. Maybe this time next year.. Every year that goes buy it get's less and less fun. But when she runs good and all the planets are aligned just right there is nothing like it. It's just too bad it's so damn hard to get all those planets aligned.. 5% fun, 5% rewarding, 90% PITA. Why oh why do we torture our selfs??

i kinda get sick of thinking about it all the time.

But at the end of the day, I think i really love cars and working on cars, so it isnt hard for me to be constantly working on them in some situation or another.

I think the biggest thing is to learn how to take a step back when you get frustrated. If you rush or just work with a clouded mind you make mistakes, which leads to greater frustration . . .

had a really nice day working on my friends 20b vert yesterday, its stock ecu, and its been confusing, but we've finally got it to spit out error codes, so now that its telling us whats wrong, things will happen pretty quick. the exterior of the car is finally taking shape too, its gonna be pretty different, but subtle
