lol, I hear ya', it isn't the issue to me, it's the message and how it has been delivered. I know I said I was gonna be a selfish ***** before, but yes, it is an important issue locally and globally, but I am of the opinon that the deep pocketed celebs should pony up, if thier convictions are so strong, take the bull by the horns and act out of thier own pockets, not force more legislation to government.

When flag burning and land pillage are at the head of legislation put to the floor I have to ask "what issues are being overlooked in order to bring things like this to the attention of government?"

i say the same thing. If puff daddy can throw out $600,000 on a birthday party and is asking for donations to charity and donates $50,000 wtf kind of **** is that.

If i had money like that i would go to a local school. walk in , talk to the principal ask what they need, and see what elese they can use. ANd just buy it for them, and donate computers, books and other supplies for kids. Then i would hire someone to make sure no body in the school is stealing or using the money improperly. At least that way you made sure you helped the 300-1000 students in that school.

In nyc the teachers shell out over $3000 to buy supplies for inner city schools becuase we lack stuff. Thats the only thing i vouch for is for our celebs to stop ******* talking smack and go and do something about it. Ocassionally in the past summer i used to go to elementary schools and help kids in math and waht not or just help out in my old elementary school.

Id rather help one kid out than just throw my money at someone and expect them to help them out.

My mom is a foster mother and since i was little my moms was taking care of other kids. My moms has helped about 15-20 kids that woulda had a rougher life if she didnt act as a foster mother. My lil sister was adopted, her moms was a crack head , literally. Even though we were poor too, at least with the little bit of money we received from my mom being a foster mother, we survived and the other kids now have good parents and we stay in contact with about 65% of them.

I think we should help the people that live here too. If it wasnt for welfare my *** would still be living on the streets. When iwas little i remember being homeless, living in local shelters. We got a section 8 public housing and foodstamps and now we own our own house in Long Island. We went from being Poor (homeless) to owning a nice house in Baldwin Harbour. So we abuse too much this welfare and the peopel that need it arent getting it. We needed it, we used it, we got out of poverty poverty. I took myself off, got a real job and been working since. I been working since i was 12 years old, helping my famz. This may be off topic but im saying if you want to make a change, DO IT, dont talk about it....

why is everyone baggin on shawn wtf. Everyone has there own point of views and there own ways of handling or taking in information. We all have valid points but we dont have the whole package we have only small amounts of information that we are basing our information on. We dont know what the rest of the country is doing or where the money is. You need to be a genius to track everything. You say we are this much in debt but you really have to think about it, the may be right but also not totally right. There can be missing information. Dont say you have all the facts cause i bet you dont, somewhere down the line someone left something out to prove there point, and then somebody else will use the other information to prove there point. WE never have all the info. Look our countries survived this long doing the same thing, i dont think we will be loosing our world power position anytime soon. Yes certain things must be rectified but as of now. Im okay, i got my car, i got my famz, and i got a job.

IMHO, the problem with Africa and all 3rd world countries is EDUCATION.

Education is the foundation for any society. If you're stupid, you're not going to get very far unless you LEARN. Hence, they are dying from diseases.
