Looks like bad RAM on the card.



And COD is awesome.

 

I think you bought a cheap card. I didn't even know Abit made video cards.

 

Card is definatly not a cheap card.



Just gotten bad luck so far.



BTW this is the spiffy card that has the OTES system. Where it blows air over it and then out the back of the pc.

Comes OC'd stock to ti4400 speeds...

Cards are so cheap you can get a Ti4800 for $150.

 

I talked to abit and they told me to RMA it again.



I'd rather try my luck again then ditch it and spend more $$$ on a new card.



My friends coming over today to let me borrow his old voodoo 3500tv so i can still use my compy.



You guys should see the POST screen, its crazy!

 

if safe mode doesnt work you have serious problems, safe mode should just be using straight VGA, if your video card has problems doing that something is quite wrong, unless you know and expected your video card to be non VGA compliant.

 

Safe mode works, its jsut being dod with the spots.



And the spots appear in POST screens too, only bigger.



Also some letters are funny colors and some just dont show up.

If i could get a pic i would, its funky.

 

How do you know it's not your monitor/cable?

 

Friend dropped by and the voodoo 3500tv is in and everything is back to absolute normal.
