I'd go with a focus zx3 (or zx5 if you need a 4 door.) Mine's actually quite reliable. Just make sure all the recalls have been done and if your fuel pump dies before 100k miles take it to the dealer and get that fixed for free.

yeah its been reliable, just been back to the dealer for more recalls than there ever should be, and is probably going to burn your house down to spite you.

Don't get a ford. Fords are evil

my ford is happy. I'd rather have my RX-7 running again, but I'd have to say the focus has never left me stranded.

I take that back. after I bought it I had to replace the battery while I went in for an allignment.

Other than that all other repairs it needed were free.

The second generation Intrepids have been treating me well for the last couple years. First one was mint at 187,000kms, someone from work bought it for $3700 CDN. Made excellent gas mileage for such a big car. (28mpg cruising at 75mph)

Regular maintenance thanks to it being a company car. Do you guys find fleet cars get better maintenance or not? All those little things tend to get done, I think.
