Bah. thats a forzda car (ford + mazda) I wouldn't get one. It is a ford with mazda badges.

is it? I thought the protege's were on their own, bespoke chassis and had all mazda engines, and that the Mazda3 was the first to share with the ford focus/volvo s40 etc
Either way, they seem to be a good car, and hold up well, i liked the one I drove, but it was the saloon, not the protege5.

I might be wrong then... I thought is had lots of ford parts.....
I still say Maxima, Camry, or truck.
Or get an older SUV. The old nissan pathfinders are awesome.

ooh, going Deutsche, eh? you can get a really decent Saab 900 from around then, turbo w/leather, or an E36 3-series. If your going benz, i like the C-class from those years better, but tahts just cause they're a little bit smaller and lighter. Gonna be pimpin it in the benz lol

A good choice. I was looking for a E-series wagon before I bought the Volvo, but I couldn't find one. Just be prepared to pay a bit more for service if anything breaks. They are good solid cars, though.
