Not sure about the CX-7, but I was a little disappointed with the actual mileage on my '05 MPV.

. I didn't notice any turbo lag with the CX-7 but I do drive a single turbo Rx-7 so that may be why

Anything else I should know about the CX-7 before they go pull the trigger tomorrow? Good and bad.

thanks!

the one we sorta played with (it was actually 2 mazda engineers...) , it was our reps car, and he was complaining that when you hit gas theres nothing and then BOOM it goes.

so far there havent been any problems

as for mileage I went so far as to call Mazda a few times complaining that my 6 did not get better then 18-20mpg on the highway and was getting about 14-16 around town.

They pretty much blew me off and I got so fed up with them I made up my mind right then and there as to my future with new Mazdas.

we've had the opposite experience. lady comes in and says my 3 only gets 18mpg in the city! we take the car, fill the tank, i go drive it to lunch (cheese house, yum), and get 35mpg, with the ac on, windows down, i even took it thru the mountains.

she was PISSED

mileage on the stickers are never true. the epa testing is so old, as Rob has pointed out quite a few times.

but did'nt they redo the epa testing for 07 models?

I did manage to get 24 once on a long trip really taking it easy, no AC, and no luggage.

First tank of gas on the new car and it got 27mpg- and that was with me doing quite a few downshifts on the highway and even more on the exit ramps with the ac cranking because it was so hot out.

the difference between that lady and me is she is probably an idiot, if there is some secret method of driving the car to get better gas mileage them im all ears, the dealer or Mazda could offer some help besides "different driving methods will yield different results"- yeah no ****!

That or she could be two-footing it, and dragging the brake everywhere she goes.
