i think that you deciding what is "right" and "wrong" is solely based on your belief system.
There isn't any word of homosexuals in the bible in the first place in the HEBREW and in the GREEK. Although, SOMEHOW, it managed to sneak its way into the ENGLISH version... weird huh?

Societal pressure.
Example:
You have a gay son. You know he's gay when he's little, however you beat him, mistreat him, and abandon him because of your hate for gays... he grows up to learn through behavioral processes that being gay is "wrong" so he marries a woman to make his parents happy, though he inside is torn and unhappy, finds a man and has an affair, and then once again has "come out" and "turned gay".
Sad fact: gays have such a high suicide rate.. because of the societal pressure and discomfort and confusion in their lives. Many people kill themselves because they are unhappy or have "no way out". When the doors shut on you and you are "supposed to be a certain way" it makes life difficult.

We aren't whales or snails (damn Dr. Seuss). And no, we aren't suppost to hate gay people. We're suppost to hate the sin, and welcome them with open arms. It's not our place to pass judgement on anybody. Also, from one of the above posts,

is that they can never have children if it's just two guys going at it, no matter how hard they try. you need a man and a woman to create another life. That's one of the biggest problems with homosexuality

There have been numerous scientific studies made involving various species where homosexual behaviour was found and practiced between two animals of the same sex.
