Same sex relationships arent that bad, theyve only existed along side heterosexuality since the dawn of time. The only reason straight people bitch about it so much is because they are uncomfortable with it.
Being scared of something doesnt give you the right to impose on other's rights. And even though giving gays rights might impose on your rights to not see two guys kissing in public, deal with it. Remember when blacks were oppressed and couldnt even drink from the same fountain as white people? Obviously people who were uncomfortable with the fact that a black man can use the same washroom as them had to:
DEAL WITH IT.

Just adds to my collective thought of conservatives...
also forgot to add.
Conservatives - Like to make personal issues, national issues.
Liberals - Like to make national issues, personal issues.
Think on that one.

Or maybe we can just have the next Republican president go ahead and walk around with a Gold Cross Staff and wear a bishop hat while carrying a Holy Bible in his left hand.

Ethics = Religion
But people's rights should come before Religion, god should love anyone. And the fairy tale story of Sodom and Gomorra has no basis for an argument about a group of people who conduct a certain way, since the bible was re-written by popes who have agendas throughout the ages. Remember all popes and archbishops werent old farts who wanted everyone to be happy.

Would'nt it be such a nice thing to do (giving homos the right to marry) knowing that it tears apart the whole aspect of marriage. No wonder people in other countries want to see us die! As far as homo marriage being compared to a racial issue, keep in mind that those who were/are under racial prejudice did nothing wrong. Homos bring adversity on themselves by CHOOSING to be the way they are. If they want to get married, they should go to a country that "accepts" it as a lawful union and stop trying to destroy something that, we in this country, value as being set aside for a man and a woman.

Disagree.. people are ethical and moral without religion.. they are totally different things.. however, people like to think that religion is the basis and end all to be all of morality and ethical concerns. Humans are capable of learning/knowing good and bad without religious teaching.
Rather, Religion = Faith. A personal "Belief system". Religion was created/adopted from the mysteries of the world. Though religion throughout the world has declined in attendence and strict adherence, it is still an inclusive part of society. With human technology and science advancing faster than religious doctrine can adapt, religion has slowly started to go to the wayside as rational thinking begins to evolve.

True. The bible was written by men. Men are fallable. As well, in the Holy Bible, God is said to love all creatures and all of his creations. God in the Holy Bible is a contridiction of himself. He is loving yet jealous. He is Forgiveful yet Ferocious. He is Omnipotent yet we have free will.
