I have a Z06 story also from the drag strip today. Kid has dads vette at the strip and manages to have a NOS pop and blows the AFM and the air filter assy off the engine onto the track as he was going into 2nd gear. OOOOPS! Could have been worse.

EDIT: If I had a car with 450K I wouldn't do a damn thing differently...that's asking for trouble.

C5=LS1

C5 Z06=LS6

C6=LS2

C6 Z06=LS7

Right?

yup....and everything on a ls6 block can pretty much be put on a ls1 block..and vice versa.

but its not the same with the ls7 to ls2 though...not sure on that..i'm still waiting to see if the ls7 clutch will work on my car.

that motor in teh zo6 is crap probably....high temps with no oil in an alumminum engine block usually isn't a good thing..so i doubt they'll give a anything for the core..lol. **** that though...tell your shop to mail me the heads and cam i could use a power boost.
