when i left Iraq, they let us bring Cubans with us, but we had to remove the "cuba" tag thing from it..... after that... it was just a cigar.

For anyone interested I'm about done with the second book "The Sensible Cigar Connoisseur" and I would reccomend it. I think it's listed as 17.99 but of course I got it for 2 bucks. It provides some comedy throughout the book and offers good alternative options for humidors that work just as well if not better than the high priced ones you find on the market, that provide considerable more space. If anyone is interested in my thoughts on the Macanudo or the Cohiba I'll be happy to post them, they're not much more than a few sentances. But the true taste and opinion will obviously come down to each persons own view on them.

This is very true. But hopefully in the not too distant future I would like to be able to afford to smoke one cigar per day. And having a few brands that I particularly like that I can pick up and know I'll have a good smoke every time would be nice whilst I try others. But for now I am trying many different kinds. In addition to the Macanudo and Cohiba that I had the past couple days I also have or bought;

El Rey Del Mundo, not sure on the specific ring size on any of these but this looks fairly large a little larger than half an inch and 6in long, so it should provide a nice long cool smoke.

Alec Bradely Havana, obviously not true havana but is slightly smaller than the El Rey Del Mundo and measures in at just under 6 and a half inches, once cut it should be about the same size as the El Rey, so it also should provide a nice long cool smoke, provided it isn't plugged.

Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibure 1066, again not a Cuban Hoyo. I'm going to guess about a 40-45 ring size on this one with a length of 6 and a quarter inches.

Finally an REAS Havana. This I am unsure of as a friend bought it for me at some point when he was studying in the Virgin Islands, he says it is a genuine Cuban. But I have never heard of the name before so I am uncertain. It is about a 40-45 size ring, and about 4 and three quarter inches.

I'm not sure when I will have the chance to smoke again. But I have decided that all further cigar smoking activities will be strictly limited to the cigar shop mentioned earlier unless it is sufficently warm outside. I think I may try and make a tradition of smoking on Saturdays. We'll see how it goes.

As long as you don't inhale your LUNG will have no problems. The mouth cancer is a different story. I'd rather enjoy things like cigars and pipe tobacco. They'll probably have pop-a-lung machines by the time I need one. Enjoy it, I'll bring some with me next time I'm in town and we'll see how you like them aight buddy?

I'm partial to the Monica Lewinski size. However it is a milder than the average turd.

hmm my humidor doesn't seem to be gaining anything higher than 60% humidity. I will keep putting water in the oasis, but I think I may have to try and mod this box sooner than I had hoped if I want to keep my cigars in good shape. Maybe this Saturday I'll ask the owner of the Cigar shop if he has any ideas or if he might store them for me until I can fix it. I know they have private storage it's just a question of how much.

I made my humidor out of a 50cal ammo can. I have some cigars in it I have had for five years now, and they are as fresh as if they were rolled yesterday. Should be able to buy one cheap from a surpluss store. Just glue the humidor to the lid. I also broke up a redwood cigar box I had and glued it around the edges to help hold in the humidity, it makes it smell really good too.....and it was cheap as hell
