Rsepect: Cars that execute the meaning of their developement.

Example: Honda Civic, does eveything it's supposed to do well. Great fuel economy, bang for the buck, VERY reliable. What people choose to do to them does not count, the Civic wasn't designed as a sportscar. ETC.

Dissrespect: Cars that aren't anything. Cars that defeate the purpose, what's the point of an automatic tranny on a C5 Vette or any other Sportscar. I know the FD has one but that's different, cuz the FD is still cool even with the auto. :squirt:

Example: Subaru Baja, Pontiac Aztec(uglyest **********er ever), Cadillac EXT, Lincoln Blackwood etc., why would you make a LuxSportUte into a pickup truck.

But at the end, to each his own, right?

No. 440s were a Max Wedge or a 6 Pak.

Yup, I just researched it. But didn't the 71 cuda have a 440 in it. They called it the Hemi 'cuda.

The Hemi Cuda's had a 426. The Hemi never got any larger than that.

i tend to repect cars that are either technically innovative, extremely durable, or really well done.

examples: the 20's-30's bugatti's has cockpit adjustable suspension, aluminum engines, 3 valves per cylinder, superchargers etc,.

my triumph, its a 45 year old car that runs perfectly, and i havent had to work on it at all

or say jim labrecks fd, you want to hate it because of the v8, but the attention to detail and the craftsmanship is second to none, plus its 100% bolt on
Today I was sitting at light in a turn lane, and older guy in a beautiful Triumph looks over and gives me a thumbs up. It makes you feel good when another enthusiast aknowledges your car, but unfortunately it doesn't happen often enough.

I tend to respect cars that have cool drivers, because you can have a nice car and still be an *******. I've met quite a few people over the years who look down their noses at my FD. Doesn't matter who you are or what you drive... if I can't respect you there's no way I can respect your car.

just my $.02

I respect cars that are modded tastefully.

And by the way, I just got a 2000 Eclipse GT 5spd. I love it. And no I'm not getting windshield wiper LEDs or Altezzas. The first thing I'm putting in is a Beyond Audio 12" Inhuman.

Then, the boost...

They supercharger/and/or/turbo kits for the new eclipses? What kind of numbers have people been able to get out of them?

Just curious.

Dude, it's kinda sad...there's only one turbo kit for the 3G Eclipse. And it runs at a measley 7psi. But it makes like 290-300HP, not too shabby. My car stock makes 205.

As soon as the warranty expires, cuz I'm afraid a turbocharger might make it void, I'm going to do some custom work to upgrade the internals and test out some turbos.

To tell you the truth, I haven't looked at any superchargers, but you gave me an idea.

Mitsu didn't put a turbo in the 3G but they offer a V6, which is what I have, making up for the turbo. Just some info.
