A guy appears at the pearly gates and knocks.

St. Peter comes to the gates and asks the guy what he wants.

The guy replies that he would like to enter.

St. Peter tells him that it is not that easy and that he needs to check the guys record.

St. Peter then asks him if has ever committed any serious sin.

The guy thinks for a moment or two and says,

"Once when I was a kid I stole a cookie from my mother's cookie jar."

St. Peter says, "That is not too serious, and besides that was a long time ago.

Have you done anything more recent?"

The guy thinks again and says, "When I was a teenager, I stole one of my father's

beers from the refrigerator."

St Peter replies, "That is not too serious. Anything more recent?"

The guy thinks again and says, "Once I was stopped for speeding in a small hick town

in South Carolina. I got so mad that I peed on the boots, the shiny white boots, of the town's

motorcycle cop."

St. Peter strokes his beard for a second and says, "Yeah that is pretty serious. When did this happen?"

The guy says, "About 10 minutes ago! ! "
