That sounds ******' messy. You should really have a sound shop check that **** out.

Also, with my alarm going off at first, my car was as good as dead since I had no way to shut it off. So I had two choices....have my car not run because I had the alarm in, or have my car not run because I had the alarm out. Either way, I had no running car.

Most of the time, car alarms die if you either put the key into the door or ignition. Did you try either?

lane_change 07-09-2003 01:31 AM

Yeah...I tried both. I tried the hatch key hole, the driver side key hole, the passenger side key hole, the ignition key hole....I tried locking and unlocking the doors from outside the car, I tried locking and unlocking the doors from inside the car, I tried everything I could think of short of starting the car because I can't start it just yet.

I even hit the little alarm toggle switch that activates and dis-activates the alarm....and it still kept going off regardless. I tried turning the switch off while the alarm was going off, nothing, I tried having the switch in the off position before I ever hooked up the battery to see if the alarm would just stay off, nope, it still came on. It is pretty fucked up.

There might be one more solution, a 12 Gauge Rem?

It just sucks because my car has been down since Sept. 28, 2002 and I am so close to getting to drive it with the new motor/turbo/etc....and now I am being fucked over by a POS alarm system. ****....maybe it's an omen to sell my car.

Srce 07-09-2003 01:41 AM

DO NOT SELL HER, don't you have a key fob?

lane_change 07-09-2003 01:49 AM

I wish.....no key fob. It was destined to be a pain in my ass. I am sure of it. I need to get a good car for winter, this car is going to suck ass. We'll see how I like it after I get to drive it some....if I like it still, I will keep it, if I don't I will sell it. Get a new STi or something. Who knows? For now though, I need to get this all straightened out so that I can drive my car.

Alarm shops can program (OR KILL) the alarm using a Universal Fob, they have these kinds of tools. For example: The dude who does alarms for us can take like 10 Neon's and make them sing using his master key fob. It's all in the programing, so if you can, my best advice would be to go to a sound/alarm shop and they could probably take care of that little POS bitchy alarm for you.
