camping.... why?

eh, that's all it's really for. just for fun. i like to go up to gettysburg and go camping. go on battlefield tours on horse. pretty relaxing. then you go back to work on monday. UGH!

I will however say, I go on hikes that are multiple day and I camp. Does that mean I cant afford a "real vacation"? lol



Also Ill be doing a through hike on the appalachain trail not this spring but next spring. Thats 2300 miles long and takes 5-6 months, I'll be camping ... is that the same thing? :-p



I just like to get away from people for awhile sometimes. I enjoy the mountain regions and forests, the beauty that some areas have are indescribable and can create such a strong sense of uphoria you that you wont get other places. Atleast for me...

see i can do that any day on the ocean, i can be where i dont see a a person at all and i dont have to live like a wino or drive an hour in the cage.... but i still dont get it, never have understood the appeal of camping.

lol... its just the feeling of oneness for me. Feeling at ease with the earth and my surroundings. But again, I never do those weekend camping trips with cases of beer and stuff. I do it for the adventure and I'm ususally going somewhere (like a hike).
