Well I finally got my cable internet all up and running yesterday, was a little tricky to get all 5 boxes on the connection without having to pay for more ip's. Even though they are dynamic ip's they only allow one system connected to the net at a time, so I had to come up with a work around. Thus far I am very, very impressed.

I used to have cable, and I liked it alot. It was faster than the DSL I have now.

So far I have been more impressed than DSL. I once I got their stupid DHCP server figured out so I can have all my systems online... they told me i had to pay 5 per month for extra ip's, I'm WTF for dynamic ip's. HA HA att, I have 5 systems on :notify:

Yeah, they're so cheap trying to charge you more for running more computers. I used to run a router with my cable modem. I'm using the router with the DSL, but the DSL is a pain because every time the phone gets used the signal cuts out.

I've been meaning to call, but they're such idiots. My brother wanted DSL, not me.

Our DSL did that for a while... every time someone would call us, our DSL would be down for 15-20 minutes. Turns out it was a bad connection in the phone line within the house. That might cause symptoms similar to what you are getting too. Good luck figuring it out.

Yea I wasn't aware PS2 was coming out with that, but we may have to hook it up for some GT3 when it all gets out and working.

I wish I had a static ip from cable internet, would make **** much easier. I am using a Linux box as firewall /DHCP server.
