I have an 87 non-turbo. I haven't done anything to my brake system since forever. Lately, it doesn't grip very well and kinda bouncing at the pedal. It does not grip at all when I'm driving in the rain.

I ordered a brand new set of cross drilled brake disc and Axxis new pads. I haven't received them yet. By changing these items and flush out the brake fluids, will that fix the bouncing problem I have.

Another thing, my wheels do not turn over freely. It seems like the brake pad is constantly rubbing the brake disc or thing. Any suggestion to keep the brake pad away from the disc when the brake is not engaged.

Thanks!

you probably do need new brakes.

before ordering new discs though, I would have checked to see if the rotors still had enough meat on them to be turned. Pads, they are cheap enough, so i wouldn't have hesitated to replace them.

i would get the calipers checked as well

Well, the rotors and pads are already on the way, so I'm going to replace them regardless. The last time I had the brake done, the dude at the shop told me that the rotor is too thin, and that will be the last time he's going to turn it down, so I think it's time to change them now. Maybe the rubbing problem would be the rotor is warpped. I'm going to take all the brake calipers apart and give them a good tune up this time.

Sounds like you have a warped disc.

Yeah the bouncing sounds like you have at least one warped disc.
