yeah they make even our service dept look adept and competent. granted once the episode is over they end up with a nice car, our guys spend 3 months on an fd and theres no boost.

you're the buisness owner jim, if the rental bill is $26 a day times 90 days, where did your profit go?

dont' dealers give used cars off their used car lots for rentals?

I am not sure I get the question. Expand please.

november 3rd fd comes in, i dont even know the complaint.

we rebuild transmission, and remove the intake and replace some fuel parts.

over 3 months the cars been at the dealership, the parts bill is over $4000, the rental bill is $3000, who knows how many hours they spent ******* with it. they "finished" it today and theres no second turbo and it still smells like gas.

this is our mazda trained service dept, not only are they loosing their shirt on this job, the cars prolly worse now than when it was brought in.

so the $4000 parts bill < rental bill = bad

You're wrong according to Rikki if you work at a Mazda dealership you are a Rotary expert.

I gave up a LONG time ago going to the dealership for service. When I first got back into RX-7's again a few years ago I had a 90GTU with a horrible hesitation.

The dealership was hired to diagnose the problem. What they did I could have done. They just kept swapping parts until the problem was gone. At that point I realised that I can do better than them. They never fixed my car after having it a week they gave up.

I found the problem was a broken seal collar on the fuel pump in the tank, replaced that and the car ran great.

LMFAO. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

I can compare this to tech support (I seldom have to call, but none the less), and the IT dept I work in. us > them.

I thought dealers say no to rx7s. Only yes to parts.

Jim, the hestiation was due to the gas tank no pressurizing correctly? can you elaborate on this seal collar thing and problem? i have a mysterious hesitation at high rpm and high boost and it's not fuel related. If it's not spark then i'm going to be lost.

the pump has a little plastic framus that holds an o ring that seats on the sender pipe. if you dont get it exactly right, it leaks.

what kinda plug wires you have?
