Its harder than I thought. Im trying to find a 2001-2004 Toyota Tacoma V6 SR5 with a TRD off-road package. I 5-speed would be perfect. Man, I had 2 slip through my fingers and no i cant find ****. Honestly, I can hardly wait until I get a truck so I can unload the WRX. The insurance on a Tacoma is 900 cheaper to insure a year than my WRX.

Are you looking at private sellers, or at dealerships? A dealership should have SOMETHING you are looking for. 01-04 can't be hard to find.



Trucks are fun, especially the Toyota's and pre 99 Ford's.

those trucks are nice thats why they are hard to find. try autotrader with a 300 mile distance. or tell a dealer and they will try to find one next time theyre at auction

Just about everyone in my neighborhood who has a truck, has an 01-04 Tacoma. My dad's got an 05.

Your best bet at a dealership, is to get in touch with the used car manager, or contact the internet sales manager, he can always keep a tab on you if something comes in off a trade or like Shane said, an auction vehicle.



At least that is what I do at work, always try to keep tabs on customers looking for someting specific, especially the Wrangler's, those customers are SO damn picky.

Id rather not go to a dealer. If i buy a used car from an individual, I dont have to pay tax. So it saves me around 1k by buying it from some guy on autotrader or ebay

You do have a point, but how do you get away with not paying tax on the vehicle. If I buy a car off a private seller, I have to pay taxes when I register the vehicle and tag it.

Not in Arizona. And even then the taxes vary from county to county. There is no used car tax where I live, unless you buy it from a licensed dealer.
