Bouncer At A Club?
So I'm getting a second job, and I thought I might try and add a more social role to my life. I figured a job at a club or bar might be better than a retail job for that. Anybody have any experience as a bouncer? Anything in particular I need to get a job as one? I alread have a friend who is helping stup a new nightclub in Denver, she said she's willing to help me get a job.

I thought I may have an advantage there - I'm 6'1" (6'2" in the morning), 225lbs.
I've bounced 5 different places. 2 huge clubs and 3 bars.
It's a good job. You have to deal with a lot of **** though... You know, the drunk guy doesn't want to leave, then tells you about how you are a POS that makes 5 bucks an hour and all that crap... I've been in so many fights. Used guys heads to open doors.. you know all the good ****.
I've always done it for fun. Not the money. It sucks when people look at you in a rent-a-cop sort of way... Like you are poor or something..
Had a guy tell get mad at me when I booted him for grab-assing.. He decided that he would scream at me telling me that while he goes to a "better" bar, I'd still be here making 5.00 an hour working for the man... Guess he got a little fired up when I told him I made 50+K.
And 10.50 bouncing LMAO...
You need a clean head. Can't let people **** you off. Some places even tell you not to hit back if swung on... It's hard, but you knbow how that goes.
Understand that as a bouncer, you are also BITCH. Yeah... You think bartenders take out trash? Nope. Bartended 3 times as well.. And the bouncers always do it. You get to clean the puke... Sweep the broken glass... etc. And to top it off you get to watch the bartenders leave on a Sat night with 3 bills, 2 hours before you leave with 65 bucks... But like I said, it's something you have to want to do for fun... Or a couple extra bucks. Hard to live off that's for sure.
But as a second job it's cool.
YOU WILL GET SO MUCH *** YOU WON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT. TRUST ME ON THAT. Good luck... New clubs (Especially in big cities) are fun. They are the hot spot at first, before they calm to normal... And hot-spot = teh FUN.

Maybe you should be the bathroom guy, I bet he makes more money then a bouncer. Giving people paper towels and ****, offering sprays of cologne.
I bet the bathroom guy leaves with $150+
Just no glamour in the job I suppose, it is shitty
I dunno about a bouncer either, I would imagine some law suits

Guy in my club on drugs. LOTS of them. Starts talking **** to door guy out front checking ID's. ID guy calls me on radio. Before I get there, druggy boy starts dancing around and swings on ID guy. I grab ID guy and tackle druggy boy. Druggie boy calms down and I walk him to street. Tell him to leave. Nope. He decides to swing at other bouncer who came out, then me. Well, We were in the street SO......
I punch this little mother ****** a foot off the ground and into the side of a car. After he got up, he left. Came back later that night with gun. Got his cheecks re-aligned AGAIN.
2 days later lawyer shows up. Lawyer get's my story. Lawyer tells me druggie boy is in hospital getting re-constructive surgery. I say whoops. I was in the right.
3 months later it was droppped. I was scared shitless though... That could have got ugly. His bills were like 45K at the hospital.
