Bloody Microsoft!

XP looks like Fisher Price. What a bunch of rubbish. I have acces to 2k and would use it if I hadn't learned all the ins and outs of ME to make it run better than 98. I also have 98FE and SE, 95A and OSR2 C. If I ever get back into computers as heavily as I was a few years ago, I'll learn my way around 2k.

2K is for old fogies.
Also, the default XP GUI is just a theme. XP runs fantastically in a 300+ client network if you maintain your own update server locally using Microsoft's tools. You will never head off user error, but group policy settings are your no. 1 defense against those.

2k will kick xp's *** with networking! sure xp is built on a completely different plateform, but there are just so many issues with xp that havent been fixed. And just how everything is layed out, how even the easiest of admin tasks are a chore to do, etc, etc.
But, to each his own...

XP and 2K are close enough for networking purposes that I don't really care either way, other then XP's obsession with stopping NTFS security at every level which I find to be annoying.
I want XP64 becuase yeah I program and I have a 64bit processor and I'm always interested in trashing my system
The last good OS was OS/2
