OK, suppose you do get a loan, what are you going to do when you blow the engine? Get ANOTHER LOAN?

Trust me, do not get the car. You will thank us later. If you do get it, and you are up to your eyeballs in debt, you will be hating life and owning a car that looks good, but doesnt move because it blown up.

Just wait a while man. Within 3-5 years, an FD will be a little less expensive, won't be as rare. Right now they are so rare to see/buy that you are going to pay out the ***. Even for a stock one. I sure as hell will not pay 12k for a used stock car that is 10+years old.

And banzai is right, wait until you have all the cash you can get to afford it, and oh yeah, shop around. I just saw a 94 RX-7 on ebay, white, with low mileage in Philly and the last bid was at 5k. Might have been an R1, don't know.

Watch, in 5-6 years an FD will be as cheap as the best looking FC's you can think of. I now have no RX-7, and no DD, the rx-7 was my DD, and I am fucked right now transportation wise.

Take people's advice on here, it will save you headaches. And if you want it that bad, join with a credit union, most credit unions you have to be at a job for more than 6 months, and do a SIGNATURE LOAN. Not a car loan. A car loan, you will need full coverage insurance on the car, and will be paying a higher interest rate. I almost did that to buy my FC, but could not, cause I was not at my job long enough.

Agreed.

I'm kind of hating the fact that I need to take out a ~$6k loan on the one I am getting.

Thing is, however, even as I buy this FD, I have cash in the bank (more than enough for a rebuild) and a great Daily Driver (Normal Car), My integra.

Seems to me you have it set up just right.

prices on fds arent really declining. i think that the prices will start to increase. oh and if you wait 3-5 years FDs will be LESS rare bc mazda is making a whole bunch more and they arent getting wrecked or blown up everyday? that just doesnt make any sense. FDs have to be able to be a reliable car. the guys on here that comlain about them probably dont have the relability mods, a conservative tune, or they drive the car hard on a regular basis. If that isnt true i would love to know bc i am researching FDs as well. And if you are able to get financed on an fd dont worry about having to pay full coverage insurance. It would be worth your while to pay the small amount extra to be covered. If someone doesnt believe me, wreck your car with liability and you will wish you would have had full coverage when you have to pay the thousands to have it fixed rather than the $250 deductible.

LOL Shane what did you just say? Try writing a bit more precise. I do it too, but I had to read your response slowly and a second time through.

FD's will just keep getting more rare as they get wrecked. Blown is another story. They stopped in 95, they are not about to make more FD's for the USA. I know there's tons in Japan but we live in America and a good 98% of buyers will be looking for a USDM model.

FD pricing, I hope, remains constant. I think it will.
