I work out during the week. I'm only 150, but I'm very strong for my size. I've gained 20 pounds since I was a civillian. And almost nobody can keep up with me on a run. Fitness is very important. I've got no mercy for fat people that sit around eating chips complaining about their weight. The same goes for weak skinny people. If you want to have the body of a greek god, you have to earn it.

This is a good way of estimating a max: http://www.jackalsgym.com/programs/max.htm
Hmmm...thanks for that. I was always told the 3 for 10 rule, but it seems to be pretty far off. I guess my max is higher than I thought.

When I was 21 I used to be in the gym 5 days a week. I worked out with this ex-marine that was nuts. He was great. I used to weigh 170 LBS pure muscle and could bench 350 Lbs for 5 reps and 370 for 2 reps. He could bench 375 for 4 reps and weighed 155 lbs. He was an animal. I used to love the looks on the big guys faces when we would throw that weight up. It was a look of utter disbelief. Sort of like when you pull a V-8 coming out of a red light with our little RX-7's.

I'd be lucky to bench 225 right now I am so out of it.

Monday moning I am back in the gym. That is it! Thanks for the motivation from reading this thread.
