does anyone know where I can get japanese language and website script support so my laptop will read it instead of it just being funky lines and ****...I know that windows has that option but I need my xp disk and that isn't with me at this time.. It be even better if anyone knew it there was a program the converted japanese language sites to english..does that even exist?

 

You just want to be able to read Japanese websites in English, right? I asked my roommate, because she's from Taiwan and I figured she'd know about this stuff. She said when you're at the website to right click, then go down to encoding, and then choose Japanese. Does that work? If not, it's not my fault, blame her!

 

Uh, you can install languages with MS. My comp displays Kanji characters. If you have the language pack installed, it will display the characters. If you install the language as an option in windows, you can type the characters.

sinful7 I have the pack but I need my xp disk to install it fully..and will that is not with me at the moment.. out in the middle of nowhere for the next 60 days...and my laptop power cord just took a dump on me....and my luck no body has one that will fit my plug..
