Shane- you need a DV capture program, sometimes they come with your cam. You'll also need an IEEE 1394 cable, i.e. firewire.

 

thanks, the cam came with the software, and i might have a 1394 around. the camera does record mpeg directly to the sd card if i want it to though. when i did that last night there was no sound with the recording, there must be a setting in there somewhere to turn it on.

pic isn't to bad, but looks a little hazy in some spots... it doesn't have the crispness that my digi cam has. i hae a fuji 3.? megapixel cam.

 

yeah not as good as my gfs 3.2mp canon sd200 either, but its good for a camcorder. theyll also look better when squeezed to a normal size from 2048x1496, also at 640x480 my 128mb sd card will hold like 920 pics, which will be nice when travelling.



right now im doubting its ability to record audio to the mpeg4s that it will record straight to sd, its not looking like it will, which will suck.
