I'll be in texas next month for a lil while and was thinking about catching a flight down to Cancun for a few days... problem being, the chicky's passport is expired. Do you need a passport to get into mexico? I know you didn't back before 9/11 but not sure about it these days. She has an Active duty military ID card, but i'm not sure if she is allowed to travel using it anymore (post 9/11)

Anyone got any input on this?

Thanks

no passport needed to drive across. You might want to call the airline and verify if you don't need a passport when flying across the border.

hey man, i have actually been to moon palace 3 times, i will tell you what, they is one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen! there is about 8 restaurants, and about twice as many bars, rooms are awesome, a shower that could fit 12, and the nice things is that it is all inclusive... everything is free, there is an itialian buffet, and a mexican restaurant, a AWESOME chinese restautant, and a bunch of outside ones... i will tell you what dude, if you have the chance... GO THERE!!! there are 2 parts to the actual resort, its owned by a company called palace resorts, they own a lot of resorts in mexico, there is sun palace, moon palace, cancun palace, spa palace, and some others, the best is moon palace, which is actually directly connected to sun palace, but moon palace has better everything, if you do go to the moon palace, hop on a golf cart (you will see them all over the place) ask them to take you to the "club house by the villa's"... its by the golf resort, (like a 2 minute ride on a golf cart) and on the way they take you down a GEOURGOUS path, animals everywhere, and in the club house they serve dinner, its italian, but its about the best italian you have EVER had, damn dude, i love that place, i go every new years every other year... its awesome... GO THERE!

Yea we've stayed at the moon palace, all of the palace resorts are pretty nice, the adventura palace is adult only, if you plan on staying at the resort the whole trip, which is very possible at moon palace then it's a safe bet, if you wanna go into town and hit the bars and restaruants its a ways out of town, so it makes going into town a bit much. there are a couple palace resorts in downtown, but i have never stayed at them.

Next time go further South, to Playa Del Carmen. I hate resorts, and we stayed in this really nice condo on the top floor. Hot tub, ac, swimming pool which used the building walls as the pool walls, AWESOME place!!! Right there in town too, about a 3rd of a mile from the beach.,,,,BB

And that BS your hear about Americans being the loudmouth rude people? Not true. 99% of the

time when I hear someone speaking loudly and rudely in Mexico, I'd look up, and there was a European.
