[quote name='94touring' date='Aug 15 2005, 08:32 PM']I almost had to resort to KY to get it in the hole. I was looking at a piece of rubber that had to fit into a hole that was a third of its size. It was like virgin butthole.

simple green, spray nine or soapy water will work, and will show you if its leaking. Did you have a stem tool? (lol) i dont have a bead breaker that will work with anything "skinnier" than 10 inches in tire width, so i put a duratec bellhousing under the tire/ tyre and used it as a spacer.

[quote name='Apex13B' date='Aug 15 2005, 06:40 PM']they sell the tire stem tool right next to all the DIY build-a-dyno kit for 19.99

LOL, no ****? Thats also beside the $19.99 movable end ratchet type tool that I had to buy to reach my 02 sensor. Most people take it to the shop to change it, but I figured what the hell, might as well work on my own car. Oh did I mentioned I pulled a nail out of the front left FD tire today and plugged it? I carry a plug kit in my car along with a bike pump for emergencies. Most people would call AAA, but not me, no sir.

I agree with you though. I like turning wrenches on my own personal vehicles. It's fun, you get to know the car more. Blah blah blah!
