simple green, spray nine or soapy water will work, and will show you if its leaking. Did you have a stem tool? (lol) i dont have a bead breaker that will work with anything "skinnier" than 10 inches in tire width, so i put a duratec bellhousing under the tire/ tyre and used it as a spacer.

I used WD40 and a flat head screw driver....and of course my O face.

most auto stores sell the tool for about 10 bucks, worth it

they sell the tire stem tool right next to all the DIY build-a-dyno kit for 19.99

LOL, no ****? Thats also beside the $19.99 movable end ratchet type tool that I had to buy to reach my 02 sensor. Most people take it to the shop to change it, but I figured what the hell, might as well work on my own car. Oh did I mentioned I pulled a nail out of the front left FD tire today and plugged it? I carry a plug kit in my car along with a bike pump for emergencies. Most people would call AAA, but not me, no sir.

I agree with you though. I like turning wrenches on my own personal vehicles. It's fun, you get to know the car more. Blah blah blah!

why did you have to change the stem anyways? leaking?



I get home these days around 7:00, last thing on my mind is changing out a tire valve, its not lazyness, its time management.
