Anybody Know Anything About Cb Radios?

9 is emergency on cb, vhf marine 16 is emergency.
The hand helds are honestly border line useless.
Max output on CB radio is 4 watts, 12 watts onb the sideband so you need every bit of help from an antenna, handhelds pretty much eliminate that advantage.
Turn your squelch down, your volume up and hit say 14 or 19 and ask for a radio check, then ask them their 20 so you can see how far a range you are getting.
