I got a new phone today (Sanyo 4900) because I thought I'd "upgrade" to Vision from my plain old PCS account, but little did I know that in order to get all of these fancy things "included" with vision, you have to pay extra. For example, if I want to download a ringer, it costs me $1 (on top of the extra cost of Vision) and the best part is that I only get to keep it for 90 days. Does anyone else think that's a total ripoff?

I have that phone! I love the UNLIMITED VISION!

I have the Cable to hook it up to my laptop for UNLIMITED internet at more than 128K a sec.

heres a site that should start you off:

www.craiggiven.com

heres another one, where you can upload the pics and ringtones you want (it has a 70K size limit i think):

Where did you get the data cable? They don't sell them at Sprint any more. I found a couple on ebay, but I was hoping to find one for a little cheaper than $55.

Edit: I found one for cheaper, but where do you get the sync/ringer software?

Try Radio Shack. I don't know about the cable for the Sanyo, but they still sell the cable and software for the Samsung line of pcs vision phones.

Cool, thanks.

I didn't know you couldn't use AIM with vision...I guess I haven't looked around enough.

I got the cable from someone on ebay for $25...not too bad. It says it comes with the internet software, but I'll have to buy the ringer/image/contact software. It's two seperate CDs that are $30 each from Sanyo. There has to be a better way.
