It was a PRV engine.. Puegot, Renault, Volvo.
And to whomever said it was a piece of ****.. long after your car rusts and sits crumbling in a junkyard the Delorean will be running in mint condition. I thought it was a great idea to make a stainless steel car.. they'd last frigging forever. No buying a new car every 10 years.. keep replacing the engine and it'd last 50..

No paint would mean the car would be 1k (?) less MSRP. Maybe the initial cost of production is much higher.
The delorean was the only car to ever get a 100% survivability in a 60 mph front collision.. so it makes sense from a safety standpoint.
Imagine a stainless FD. It would outlast 10 sets of apex seals.
