I saw a delorean at dunkin donuts today on my way back from lunch.

Absolutely mint condition except it had a cd player in it with the remote velcroed onto the center console.

67k miles on it.

My friend next door has one. I can get pics if wanted. His is mint too.. '81 with 30k miles on it.

And 88 mph for those cars is nothing. V6 Volvo engine put out 180 hp even back in '81, in a car that weights 2000 lbs.

The gull wings are my favorite part. Instead of using pnuematics to open the doors, there are mini torque conerters that do the work.

Fun car. They're starting to appreciate in value now too.

2000lbs? More like 3000 searching web for delorean curb weight turns up results between 2500 and 3000, none mention anything as low as 2000.

I found one not too long ago that said 2,200. Oh well. 2,500 is still light.

I was gonna say, 2000lbs... Maybe w/some carbon/fiberglass body panels. I saw one with a twin turbo kit for sale at a dealership in MN. Why anyone would do this, I don't know.
