umm actually i've seen mr2's with both super and turbochargers on the engine (yes, at the same time, and yes both were functional) heck even some ricer mag has it as a feature car...
hell tons of construction vehicles have both, of course thats a different topic all together.

the 996's are mo mo mo mo better designed than the 993's. The driving experience is much improved. Handling is excellent and even the Carrera 2 has good power. The turbo version is just insane. If you get the oppurtunity, take one for a drive you'll understand what I mean.
Damn I just realized that none of my cars have turbos, must be subliminal programming or something.

I agree with what you said......
However, interestingly enough every true Porsche enthusiast opinion that I have read that has commented on this topic feels as though the 996 as strayed from Porsche's roots......and I agree. I believe the new 996s are centered more on luxury than being a true sports car. Yes the 996 TTs are beasts but its a much more luxury based car then the pervious Porsche models, there is no denying this. There is more emphasis placed on luxury and amenities than it being a true sports car. Yes the majority is removed with the GT2 having buckets, no rear seats, and RWD drive; I believe it’s centered around being a true sports car. The regular 996s, the Carrera, Carrera 4s, and even the 996 TT are geared more around luxury motoring with performance than being pure sports cars. I believe the 993 models are more geared toward being true sports cars, especially the 993 TT. Which is why I believe the 993 TT turbo S reigns supreme as the most badass Porsche to legally hit the US streets.
