He was driving spirited in a hurry to get to work on time.

Someone decided he was unsafe and called the police from their cel phone

Police dispatched 3 cruisers to intercept him.

Police threaten him with arrest for reckless driving based on some strangers phone call.

If you speed you pay but to almost get arrested because some ******* called the police with a cel phone is bullshit.

i have never griped about getting pulled over for something i was doing wrong. if i would have only been pulled over for speeding this thread wouldnt even be here, i hate it when people gripe about getting pulled over for breaking the law. i got pulled over for something that i hadnt done, if you get pulled over for something you actually did then suck it up and take it like a responsible person.

It's obvious the guy called the backup and used the threat just to scare you.

When a cop get's a call from a witness of anything, they HAVE to respond to it, as rediculous as the claim is, it's happend to my sister with her Dog in the past.

And as far as actually DOING anything, the things those cops said were empty threats, they can NOT arrest you based on heresay of what some passerby guesses. How can you justify putting you away for a while or even one night based on a excessive speed estimate made by an obviously Irate civilian? You can't. They just had the three gang up and say crap like that to scare you, I have friends in law enforcement, its how they work.

Just take it easy.

Peace

really i doubt thats what happened. apparently when the person or people called it was all over the police radios so a few of them were looking for me. they said they had been trying to catch up to me for about the last 3 miles.

Despite that, the threat was somewhat silly IMO, they can't arrest you based on what some idiot said. I'd fight that... :P

oh i dont think it would have stood up in court, but i think you can be arrested for something if someone, maybe it has to be more than one person, wants to press charges on you.
