I wish my fb ran forever. well, maybe after rebuild. lol right now I'm stuck with a 91 sable as daily driver. is ok for what it is (oversized grocery getter/grandma hauler) but atleast I got the bigger engine choice. lol Maybe in a few months I'll have the FB back on the road.

but in answer of the question. everyday I wish I had my RX7 running!

I love the smooth linear power of my rotary.

I love how it pulls all the way up to 9K RPM.

I have to admit though that I love the other cars I have owned or own for their qualities too.

My '00 Mustang GT Vert for top down loud rumbling exhaust and throw you back in the seat torque. (just sold this to buy the Mini)

I love my Mini Cooper S its engine reminds me of my old 1984 RX-7 it redlines at almost 7K RPM it is very very smooth and delivers the power very evenly. What really reminds me of my old FB is that when I shift between gears the RPM's seem to linger there for a minute. Like the car seems to enjoy being revved up. My FB used to do the same thing.

I got to drive my dads 2000 C-5 Vert on the street and on an Autocross course it is the most forgiving car I have ever driven. It makes a so so driver look GOOD. So well balance so much power. (My TII spanks it though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub... )

I got to Autocross a Honda S2000 that was an amazing car as well. It is a total PIG off the line but once at speed it really rotates well. It corners just like my dads FD.

I got to drive my cousins 73 Porsche 911T worked over by Black Forest Racing of Boca Ratton Florida. This car was a street legal race prepped monster. I have never felt a car that was so confident in turns at very hight speeds like this car. I was taking I-95 clover leaf ramps at 100 MPH and it was effortless. The steering on that car was the epitome of precision.

I love all cars. Dont turn your nose up other cars you might miss something fun.

Rdrtech - thanks https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png It's my baby! (til the RX-8 arrives https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR)

Hoping I can keep it for a while longer, but it's not a cheap one to run. Does sound good though (http://www.sixspeed.nildram.co.uk/Mi...candriveby.wmv) :p

The G40 is great fun too, if a little unrefined! 170bhp in 800kg means it can embarress some big cars! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Always good fun https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I got a ride in a Convair not to long ago. It has 18 cylinders. Two rows of 9 cylinders. Like somebody said I could not imagine how much stuff is slinging back and forth in that engine. The amount of boost that it was capable of in WWII was insane. Milatary take off power was up 62" of HG on 140 ocatane. Piston engines are just as intresting to me.

I am very cognizant of the fact that the World wasn't built with Rotaries, it was built with pistons.

However, there is something to be said for the simplicty of the Wankel design. It is great to be different!
