BTW, I was thinking about something along the lines of the various "engineering type blueprints" that I've seen. These blueprints show the position of the rotor in the housing, the intake charge, etc. In fact, a picture of what I'm talking about may be in the RX-7 hardcover book by Yamaguchi. (I hope you know what I'm talking about).
Yes they would be sold with the specific degrees of that style of template. I would add a reliability tip inside the package for people that are starting to port.

How would this port stand up to emissions?
Emissions will be affected since theres a bit more overlap, but there is not a considerable amount of overlap. It's not a wild streetport that has a decent amount of overlap.

Do you have to advance or retard the timing at all?How bad is the MPG going to be affected.VERY interested.I see a next winter project already.
Ignition timing needs to be on the safe side under high boost and low octane on any style of porting. To stabilize the idle you could run stock timing maps at idle.(-20 for trailing and -5 for leading) Gas milage????? Rotary engine and gas milage do not walk hand and hand

Ito, if I may make a suggestion, setup a pre-buy similar to what Phins did with the sweatshirt sales. That way you truly see the intrest in your product, as the saying goes, money talks, bullshit walks, and you do not have to worry about the cash. With your reputation on here I have no fear in sending you the $45 and waiting for them to be made, I do not need them right away, but I defineatly would like them. If you want to try this, post up a paypal address, or If you want I can call the shop and do a credit card order over the phone, either way I am very intrested (as I have suggested to you in some of your porting threads) Let us know, I am ready to go now as are some of the others around here

I made myself a paper template for '85 and older streetports. It has two porting styles on it (mild and extended). It's held steady on the side plate with dowel pins. All you do is flip it around for one port shape, or the other.

Is this what you you're talking about in regard to the two different port shapes on the 20B? You know, to flip it around for one or the other?
