If you want to rate the template I would say it's very similar to Voskos ports.

How does your template compare to stock 20B secondary ports? How about primaries?

I would be interested. I've been thinking about picking up the Racing Beat porting template(s), but if you make a template w/ various reference points as you mentioned,...I would definitely be purchasing from you, Judge Ito.

BTW, I was thinking about something along the lines of the various "engineering type blueprints" that I've seen. These blueprints show the position of the rotor in the housing, the intake charge, etc. In fact, a picture of what I'm talking about may be in the RX-7 hardcover book by Yamaguchi. (I hope you know what I'm talking about).

What series engines could the template be applied to? I would assume there would have to be different templates for not only the six port vs. four port motors but for the different years of the 13B as well, not to mention the 12A?
Could be applied to, 86-91 turbo II engines. 92-99 FD engines. Cosmo 13B and cosmo 20B engines.

Yes they would work on a 20B. For the primaries you could still use the template. Just don't port down. Use the template to port the primaries for the opening timing and the closing timing.

You just made me think really hard. I could make one template to host the port shape for the secondaries and in that same template I could host the same port opening and closing for the primaries but smaller towards the lower part of the factory port. Basically one template to accommodate both different styles of primary and secondary ports but with the same intake opening and closing of the ports all around.
