Cool post. As an RX-8 I owner I hope to get lumped into the same group but I fear that if the 8 gets really popular there will be many that will devalue the rotaries cult heritage. I remeber when I was at the dealer picking up my car there was a couple there looking at an 8. I tried to be friendly and explain some of the car's cool features, they blew me off and weren't smart enough to take a buyers well read enthusiasm as sound endorsement, they talked to the dealer instead. I had to correct the dealer a few times. I hope that couple didn't buy an 8, they just don't get it.
I always wave to the RX-8 guys on the road. The funny part is they just look back at me perplexed. I think a lot of 8 owners are oblivious to the fact that we share similar engines.

i.didnt.do.it - was invited to this forum by me. He was lurking around a **uhum** kiddie** forum and I told him about this one. We have met up at my office where we got to get a look at each others cars. Since Mazdadrifter works with me he met i.didnt.do.it also. Soon we will all hang out together with our 7's. Just waiting on Mazdadrifter to wire up his Wolf system and we are in business.

There is a dude with a FB in my neighborhood I have not had a chance to give him a business card yet.

Meetin new people in the 7 community is great (especially when you meet people that do crazy *** **** to their car like a 13b rew swap ). It obviously the strongest car community around. Even when I'm driving down the road and I pass another 7, we honk or wave just 'cause we have a 7; we don't know anything about that other guy on the other side of the road, but yet we have alot in common. Its a great community and I am damn proud to be a part of it.

BTW Jim - We need to get together again and drink some beers!!

it's cool though rolling as a RX7 owner...i dunno, i mean if i see another 7 on the road, usually both drivers give the smile, the wave, or the nod, in knowing that we in a way are like a family...have you ever seen honda civic owners do that? no! yea...the rx7 owns you...it's owns your life...it owns everything around you...it IS your common bond...did this just make sense? lol
